Project closure reports
Schools with approved projects are required to submit a project closure report through SchoolsHUB. The project closure report online form will be available in early 2020. Schools will need to provide the following details:
- The commencement and completion dates of the project
- Confirmation the project was completed in accordance with any relevant statutes, regulations, by-laws and requirements of any Commonwealth, State, Territory or local authority
- Benefits to the school community
- Public acknowledgement of Australian Government funding

Federal Members of Parliament (MPs) in each electorate were responsible for forming a Local Advisory Committee (Committee) to assess applications from schools within their electorate. The Committee was required to consist of at least four members including the MP and representatives from government, Catholic and independent school sectors.
The Minister for Education considered MP and Committee recommendations and approved projects and associated funding.
When can schools commence an approved project?
Schools can commence approved projects once formal notification of project approval has been received from the Australian Government Department of Education.
How will the funds be paid?
Funds will be paid by the Commonwealth to state and territory governments, who will pay the funds to the approved authority of a school.
When will the funds be paid?
The Commonwealth will make payments for approved projects in mid January 2020. The approved authority for a school will be paid these funds soon after, depending on their state or territories' payment schedule.
